Shi-Shi

Shi-Shi Beach is a special place: remote with it long drive then hike and beautiful with its unique structures and patterns rising from the ocean depths. It changes with the tide. Low tide exposes lines of rocks, leaves tide pools behind and let's you enter the maze of rocks and arches. It changes with the season as high winter surf moves sand around exposing or hiding rocks underneath. It is worth visiting many times and has become a project of its own among all the different visits I have made over the years to the Olympic National Park.
